Comfort:
One of the greatest feature of the Schwinn 220 is the relaxed position it offers during exercise workouts. It comes as a surprise how comfortable Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike can get with its recumbent engineering design and ergonomic pedals. The console can be maneuvered to suit your position and the seat can be adjusted to your comfort. The Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike recumbent exercise bike step-through frame gives added maximum convenience compared to other mount-over models. Its padded seat adjusts in the fore/aft positions to accommodate a variety of positions for multiple users.
The Schwinn 220 recumbent bike seat and handlebars are adjustable, in the front and rear portions. The seat is also very wide and padded to increase your comfort level while working up a sweat and it is larger than other exercise bikes -excellent for those with knee or leg problems or for those who need to recover from injuries
An excellent aspect of the Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike is that it is capable of handling larger people than an average fitness bike, being rated at a 300 lb. limit. This weight limit can be surpassed, but it’s not recommend exceeding the limit by over 50 pounds, just for safety’s sake.
The pedal is ergonomic, for efficiency and comfort.
Operating the Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike is astonishingly quiet and gives the user a smooth ride and extremely comfortable.
A very nice feature is also the In-console speakers and MP3 music input port, with holders for magazines, ebooks or other media.
Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike Workout:
Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike is completely silent and it comes with 12 workout programs, including 6 course profiles, fitness test, and custom workout, also with 16 resistance levels and quiet magnetic ECB resistance. Eddy Current Brake will slow the movement by creating eddy currents through electromagnetic induction which create resistance, meaning that the faster the wheels are spinning, the stopping motion is smoother. The ECB technology works using an aluminum disk that spins freely between two variable magnetic fields, so there are no moving parts and no friction is created. Because it is an electromagnetic braking system, it is not only quiet and smooth, it responds quickly to new settings selected by the user, it is extremely durable, and there are no service issues.
With Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike you can get the same aerobic benefits as an outdoor leisure bike ride to a more highly effective fitness workout all in the comfort of your own home.
Its padded seat adjusts in the fore/aft positions to accommodate a variety of positions for multiple users.
Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike over sized stabilizers and levelers prevent the unit from wobbling or shaking as you pedal, especially at higher resistance levels or during tougher workouts. Also, the console is can be maneuvered to suit your position and the seat can be adjusted to your comfort and liking, so workout in a relaxed position with increased lower back support and with minimum strain.
Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike Assembly:
If you’ll study the Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike manual for a while- simple and clear, just a lot of diagrams, the assembly is simple, too. The instructions are clear and straightforward, and all the tools, nuts, bolts and screws are included in a blister pack – don’t remove the parts before you need them as they are all labeled.
Some of the cables are fastened by rubber band or plastic wire ties – do not remove the rubber bands or ties until you have the parts connected, otherwise you will have to fish the cable from the tubing and it’s not easy.
Usually, the Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike assembly is ready in about 60 minutes.
Console and monitoring system:
Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike features also an integrated grip heart rate system for easy fitness monitoring on the handlebar grips, so you can easily keep track of your exercise progress. It includes 12 various workout programs and 16 resistance levels to cater to a wide range of fitness level needs.
The new oversized digital display on this fitness bike shows a variety of aspects of your workout: heart rate, distance, time, and speed are measured while you work out by the Schwinn 220 Recumbent Exercise Bike. One portion of the display keeps track of how much Fat/Calories you have burned while you are exercising.
Unfortunatelly, Schwinn 220 Recumbent Bike doesn’t have an easy-to-read console. The LCD Display has no back light and uses a fine font and this makes it difficult to read, sometimes.
A nice feature is the build-in console speakers and MP3 music input port, magazine rack.

DeniseBillings, MontanaI decided to psahcrue the Schwinn 220 exercise bike after my doctor told me I needed more exercise. I had searched online for a few days to find the perfect match for what I needed and found that in the Schwinn 220 model. The shipping was very fast and it wasn’t all that hard to put together, either. The best thing is all the extras that you can get with this exercise bike over all the other bikes that are available. I have never had my own exercise bike before, but after a few days, it was like I had had this bike my entire life. I have had no problems with it and use it every day I can. I would absolutely recommend this exercise bike to anyone that is looking to save money and still get the quality they deserve for their workouts without taking up too much space at the same time.
Great features but some minor muoblepsort of 5 starsFirst the good: This is a really nice bike. The sixteen step eddy current resistance works smooth. The seat is comfortable and it slides back far enough to accommodate my height (6’5 ). I burn 150 calories on it three times a week and have found it to be money very very well spent. The problem: I’ve had to remove the plastic cover surrounding the flywheel to oil the flywheel bearing. During the first week I had it, it began making a clicking noise while riding, then escalated to a squealing noise. Not long after oiling, the clicking noise has come back intermittently. I consider it a minor annoyance.

Keep up the excellent piece of work, I read few content on this site and I think that your site is real interesting and contains lots of fantastic info.
Poor Qualityout of 5 starsI have an 8 year old son with Down’s Syndrome. His three younger beohtrrs can ride bikes and tricycles but Daniel still can’t. Last year we bought him a Fisher Price video bicycle game that hooks up to the TV, it was great for helping get his coordination but his strength is lacking as there is no resistance on the pedals. My wife thought the option to put some resistance into it would be a great idea to gradually build up his muscle tone. Wrong. I can wind the resistance knob 8 turns yet I could feel very little difference between the easiest and the hardest. The worst part was the pedals. The pedal cranks have too much backlash which makes pedaling choppy. I wouldn’t recommend this.

Great article! I loved the insight and advice given. Plus, your article writing style is very pleasing to read. If you have enough time kindly take a look at my new blog and tell me what you think.
Great Bike, not so great at packagingout of 5 starsI got the bike on the Super Saver sinhppig which meant I had to wait longer for it, and thats ok except when I got it, it was missing parts, had some chewed up parts and was missing an important ingredient, the instructions. So, Amazon was quick to get me another one ordered except I was going to have to wait another 7+ days to get it. I did get it though and everything was in this one, my opinion is the other one was a returned item that got sent out again. It was pretty easy to assemble, I did it myself. The bike works fabulous. I ride it everyday, my kids will ride it on days they need to cross train, my husband rides it while he watches tv on the weekends. Its very durable, there is no shaking back and forth when I get to riding it hard. My complaint about the bike would be that the heart rate monitor grips are really a joke. They are very inaccurate and I will probably buy the chest strap through the manufacturer that monitors it. Also, the manual has very little about the display, I had a code pop up on it and I couldn’t use it, I had to unplug it and let it sit overnight and it was fine the next day. Nothing in the manual, about codes or troubleshooting. The bike is great but the manufacturer needs to get their act together. I would recommend this bike though to anyone looking for a good recumbent. Nothing at Dick’s or Walmart or any crappy retail like that can even compare. Buy it!
Super Bikeout of 5 starsI have back problems and had rode a eucembrnt bike during physical therapy. I was looking for a very sturdy and comfortable bike. This one meets all expectations. It does not move while riding and it is very very quiet. I can easily watch TV while riding. The book holder is great also when reading books or I use it as a paper holder for reading the paper when riding. My husband is around 300 pounds and it supports him very well as well as my children who are like monkies climbing around on it. The back support is very comfortable and it is easy to program. To me this is a great bike. I had looked at Schwins, but they didn’t seem near as sturdy. I also like this bike as the bar tilts down from the seat to the front of the bike so it is easy to step over. I highly recommend this bike.
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

Recumbent Exercise Bikeout of 5 starsFollowing a total knee replacement, I went to Physical Therapy 3 times a week for 2 mtnohs. I began each session by riding the Diamondback Fitness Step-Thru Recumbent Exercise Bike . . . and really loved it! The bike was smooth, quiet, and had many options for maximizing your exercise. After I was dismissed from PT, I wanted to continue my exercises at home. I found the exact same bike on Amazon. Knowing how fast Amazon delivers, I ordered the bike and it arrived within 2-3 days. This bike is phenomenal! It has so many features, some I use regularly (speed, resistance, heart rate), others, I need to learn. There are special settings for additional options. There is a comprehensive operating manual that accompanys the bike.

LifeSpan Fitness R3 Recumbent Bikeout of 5 starsI ordered this bike to help my wife rtiibalheate from 4 months in the hospital. Being a recumbent makes it easier and more comfortable to sit in than a regular exercise bike. Putting it together was somewhat difficult as I was doing it by myself. If you have some help it should be no problem. That aside all the parts were in separate labeled packs that matched a different area of the bike. No parts were missing. All tools needed were included (screwdriver, hex wrenches, etc.). The bike has built in leveling devices for use on a hard surface. The bike is well constructed and is absolutely silent when in use (after about a month of daily use by my wife and myself). The bike features an electronic program for various difficulty levels and terrain. No matter what shape you are in you will be able to push yourself or take it easy if need be. The screen shows calories burned, speed, time and levels. The heart rate meter is in the handle bars next to the seat. It’s OK but you need to get sweaty before it works well.

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? This is a comment to the webmaster. I discovered your “Schwinn 220 Recumbent Exercise Bike (2012 Model) | Workout Equipment Reviews” page via Google but it was difficult to find as you were not on the first page of search results. I see you could have more visitors because there are not many comments on your website yet. I have found a website which offers to dramatically increase your rankings and traffic to your site: http://www.linklegends.com/free-trial. I managed to get close to 1000 visitors/day using their services, you could also get lot more targeted traffic from search engines than you have now. Their free trial and brought significantly more traffic to my website. Hope this helps
Take care.
I simply want to say I am very new to blogs and definitely loved this page. Most likely I’m planning to bookmark your site . You actually come with perfect article content. Thank you for sharing with us your webpage.

Great Bike For The Moneyout of 5 starsBefore I bought this bike I did a lot of ercearsh on the Schwinn 230. I was getting ready to buy it and decided to go to Sears to check it out. My first impression of the Swchinn is that it looked cheap. I rode it for awhile and was not impressed. I decided to look elsewhere. I decided to go with the Diamondback 500SR. With nowhere to test this bike I took my chances. At only $399 I figured it would also be pretty cheap looking and feeling, but it was worth a shot. It arrived in a large box. I was worried when I opened it that I would find hundreds of pieces to put together. To my surprise there were only about ten pieces that I needed to put together. It took me less than an hour to put together. I only got stumped a couple of times. The directions were asking for screws that we’re not in the hardware kit. It turned out that they were already screwed in where they were supposed to go. I just needed to unscrew them, align the part and then screw it back in. It was very easy to put together. The bike and display look better than the Schwinn’s, in my opinion. It rides about the same. I was looking for a recumbent bike because of some major lower back problems that I have. This bike is very comfortable. The adjustments on the seat back give me the support that I need. The only issue I do have is the fan. Give me a break. If you’re going to spend time on designing a bike with a fan on it make sure it displaces measureable air. I have a gym at work with a couple expensive recumbent bikes. The Diamondback bike cannot compare to these. You do get what you pay for. However, for $399 I’m happy with my purchase.
Good Investmentout of 5 starsThis is a pretty good bike. It’s heavy and strduy for the price. The bike rides smooth and relatively quiet. I can still hear the tv just fine when riding. It wasn’t hard to put together, just bulky and awkward at times. The levels are more difficult than I thought they would be. Level 5 on this bike is definitely harder than on the gym stationary bikes I’ve used. You’ll definitely get a workout. The fan doesn’t really do anything though, but I didn’t expect much from that. The seat can become uncomfortable about about 15-20 minutes of riding. The heart rate monitor seems somewhat correct..give or take 10 beats. The matching water bottle is a plus. It’s a bit heavy so make sure the spot you picked for it is the spot you want it for good. I built it in the room that I was putting it and I’m glad I did that. Overall, great bike.
JanetTrenton, New JerseyI decided to srpchaue the Schwinn 240 exercise bike because I needed a way to exercise when the weather outside doesn’t permit it. I usually ride my bike outside a few miles every day, but there are times when that isn’t possible or I just don’t have the time. This recumbent bike does a wonderful job of giving me the exercise I want without taking up too much room or having to worry about traffic on the road. It’s also extremely comfortable, and I would highly suggest it to anyone looking to exercise comfortably and in peace. You won’t find another exercise bike as good as this one without having to spend an arm and a leg in the process. I did have a few issues putting it together at first, but you will be able to make it work if you take your time and read through the instructions carefully instead of rushing in and throwing it together.
JenniferNew Orleans, LouisianaI purchased this Schwinn bike sbcauee I needed to replace my older cycle. I had used my old exercise cycle for a few years and it started to wear out in ways that would cost me more to fix than purchase a new one. I looked online and found that the reviews for this cycle were pretty good, so I purchased it. I have been using it for the last few months and must say that it is much better than my older one.I love the digital readout and the heart monitor that comes with it. I found it was a bit complicated to put together on my own, but I had some friends come over and we got it together fairly quickly. I love getting up in the morning and being able to ride my exercise cycle for an hour or so to help me get the energy I need to make it through another busy day at work.
This is insaneout of 5 starsAn rseecixe bike? For a 2 year old? I’m all for stopwatches what not (as an avid cyclist), and will be the first to put flames and a wireless bike computer on my kids tricycle. But there is no way that an rseecixe bike is a good idea for a kid. What about learning to balance? fresh air? If it’s winter, spend $20 on some kiddie snowshoes take a walk. For the cost of this thing, you could take the kid to a pool, or put the kid ice skating lessons or martial arts or gymnastics or something. This is just insane and this company should be ashamed of themselves. Kids don’t need to rseecixe for rseecixe sake they need to be play exercising, building social skills with other kids, learning/making up rules, and exploring their world.
Amazing Productout of 5 starsI researched the irnetnet for two months before deciding on this recumbent bike. I was going to buy a treadmill, then an elliptical because I am overweight and have had two knee surgeries I needed something that would be easy on the knees and back. Look no further this product is everything and more for the person with bad knees, bad back and excess weight that needs to be lost in a comfortable and healthy manner. Unfortunately, I ordered it and Amazon then had to cancel as it went out of stock. Then I went to another place and it was cancelled for being out of stock. I called up the company directly to ask about the R2 and was told that they had one R3 left. I got it for 699 including shipping. I received it within 6 days. I put it together in less than an hour and the ride is smooth, quiet and I work up a good sweat look no further this is the product you want. UPDATE:I’m updating this on August 1, 2008I started using the bike 2 times a week, then 3 times a week, now I use it every other day and working up to 6 times a week. I started using it for 10 minutes and have now worked my way up to 35 minutes a day. I’m losing weight and inches. (I’m also watching what I eat and drinking lots of water) This bike is worth the money so invest in yourself and buy this one.
Great Bike. Shop around for best price.out of 5 starsThis bike is a great buy at $399. I found it on anethor site for $399 and they had a 10% off code. SO I got it at $341 plus free shipping. Still at $399 it’s a great deal. Caution when assembling. Some of the parts and bolts will seem missing, but they are already put in the holes. Also where the neck of the bike handlebar fits into the pedal box, you will have to remove a black protective case. Three bolts are in there that you will need to remove and replace wfter sliding the bar into it. Took me about an hour to assble one person. I rode it for an hour right after and was very happy.
Outstanding recumbent erxceise bike!out of 5 starsI shopped around for around 2 months before deciding on the Lifespan R3. I’m very glad I selected this recumbent erxceise bike. It was pretty easy to assemble, easy to understand the control panel, and rock solid during use.One thing I did was to mount a smaller LCD television over the display. Be careful to attach it securely if you do the same thing, although the bike does not really wobble much during use, and it is VERY quiet. I attached it so that I can still reach the control panel buttons by reaching behind the little LCD TV. I typically set the recumbent to automatically vary the resistance regularly to keep the ride more challenging and interesting.Best of all, two of my kids have really taken to it. Overall my suggestion to you is to BUY THIS RECUMBENT EXERCISE BIKE!
